Since 1955, The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley has been the premier advocacy organization for children and adults with intellectual, cognitive, and related developmental disabilities.

The Arc exists to ensure a satisfying and productive life for each of our citizens with intellectual, cognitive, and related developmental disabilities. We believe all children and adults have the right to live, work, and play in their community!

Update! The March dance, "Go Green & Recycle" St. Patrick's Dance on March 19 will be at St. Margaret Mary PAC Center, the old Y.W.C.A. at 2501 Dudley Ave.

Two workshops sponsored by the West Virginia Developmental Disabilities Council are coming up in April.
Strangers in the House will be presented on April 14th and Protecting the Lives of Patients with Disabilites will be presented on April 15th. Both will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Bridgeport Conference Center in Bridgeport, WV. People with disabilites as well as families, friends and advocates are encouraged to attend. The workshops will also be useful to in-home care providers or hospital personnel. For more information and registration forms, visit the WV DD Council Bulletin Board.

Please note that People First Meetings are now the last Thursday of every month from 4-6 p.m. at the offices of The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley.
